Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce - 1970

Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce - 1970

The 1750 GT is by many considered the pinnacle of Alfa's 1960es pocket GT. With 122 HP in the double overhead twin cam all-alloy engine, 0-100 km/h in well under 10 seconds and a top speed of more than 190 km/h, it packs the power to back up its looks. The throaty intake sound from the two twin-choke Weber carburetors and the meaty, snarling note from the exhaust is so unmistakably Alfa Romeo.

Add the 5-speed gear box and disc brakes on all four wheels and you have a delightful sports car and compact, yet very capable grand tourer. With modest running costs compared to its more exotic fellow countrymen and plenty of spare parts, both standard and upgraded available, it is no wonder these cars ranks high on the classic market today.

This 1750 GT Veloce series 2 comes from Sweden and is registered in 1970. It was subject to a comprehensive restoration some years ago and it is in top condition. Body is in great shape and finished in the classic 501 rosso. Engine and gearbox are rebuilt. Interior is excellent in black with red stitching. Wheels are 15” steel. This car drives superbly and needs nothing. A good opportunity to acquire one of these sought after Italian GTs at an attractive price.
