Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT - 1964

Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT - 1964

There have been many ups and some downs in the history of the Alfa Romeo marque, but one of the brightest stars on the Alfa heaven is undeniable the Giulia Sprint GT from 1963. From the hand of the young genious Giorgetto Giugiaro while at the Bertone design studio, the compact Gran Turismo coupe version of the four-door Giulia oozes dolce vita and Italian lifestyle. The lightweight GTA aluminum version that terrorized the race tracks and won the European Touring Car Championship several times in the mid-60s added greatly to the appeal of the Alfa Romeo name and the GT legend in particular.

Chassis number AR609935 left the factory in Arese on 4. December 1964 in this beautiful light blue color and was sold new on 17. May 1965 to its first owner in the small town of Casana All’Ionio in the Calabria region of Southern Italy. The car has lived in that region all its life until we bought it in Crotone in 2016.

This GT just finieshed a nut & bolt restoration from a complete empty body to every mechanical part including engine, gearbox, brakes, steering and suspension fully rebuilt with lots of new parts. The paint is the same gorgeous Azurro Spazio in which the car left the factory and the upholstery is all new leather and carpets also in the correct grey color of the original car. All details are kept highly correct and with new chrome, emblems etc. A rare opportunity to acquire an early Sprint GT in collectors condition.
